MCAS Testing

Practice Tests

To run a practice test session with your class:

  • Have students Sign Out of their Chromebook
  • Click the Apps icon at the bottom of the screen
  • Click MCAS
  • Click the link that says "Access the Practice Test"
  • Choose the test
  • Click Go

Technology Management for Testing Day

 

  • Be sure Chromebooks are ready:
    • Charge all Chromebooks the night before
    • Check that all Chromebooks are connected to the Titan-Wifi network
    • Students must Sign Out of the Chromebook before testing by clicking the red Sign Out button
    • Click Apps at the bottom of the screen
    • Click MCAS
    • If a device will not connect to Titan-Wifi or has any other issues, follow your building's procedure to ask for a spare device for testing (eg. call the office or speak to an administrator or tech team member nearby). 

Proctor Login for Live Testing Day

  • MCAS Portal Link: https://mcas.cognia.org
  • Log in with your email and password.  If you do not remember your password, click the Forgot Password link and a reset email will be sent to you.
  • Click Administration
  • Click Test Scheduling
  • Use the drop downs at the top of the screen to select your school, grade level, subject and test
  • Find your session by looking at the "Class" column.
  • Click View Details/Student Logins
  • This screen will display the test Access Codes, student username and password and will show the status of their test
  • NOTE: we do not unlock or start the test in this new system. Also, there is no detailed progress screen to view how many questions each student has completed.
