Dear Pembroke Families,
As we head into the long weekend and in anticipation of the April break, we would like to remind all families and staff of the Massachusetts Travel Advisory. As of Monday, March 22, all visitors entering Massachusetts, including returning residents, are advised to quarantine for 10 days upon their arrival. It is suggested that you test after returning to Massachusetts. Any student/family returning from travel outside the United States are required to provide negative COVID test results prior to returning to school. We urge all families that are seeking testing to get a PCR test as opposed to a rapid antigen test as we have seen an increased number of testing abnormalities over the past weeks associated with the rapid testing
If a parent or guardian of a child under 10 has a negative test result, that child does not have to quarantine or take a test, but parent test results would need to be submitted to the school nurse prior to the student returning.
Please visit the Mass.gov website for additional information including special travel scenarios. Please send all testing documentation to your school nurse prior to returning to school. A list of testing locations can be found on the Mass.gov testing website.
We recognize with this upcoming holiday weekend and the nice weather, families are gathering together, we ask that families continue to adhere to the gathering guidelines and remain vigilant in their efforts for COVID-19 prevention.
We appreciate your cooperation as our focus continues to be on maintaining a safe learning environment in our schools for students and staff.
