Fall Reopening Parent Forum

Good Afternoon Pembroke Families!

I hope this email finds you well. As we are planning for what the fall may look like for the return to school, we wanted to hear your thoughts, concerns, and questions. Assistant Superintendent, Marybeth Brust, Director of Student Services, Jessica DeLorenzo, and I will be hosting a parent forum tomorrow, Wednesday 7/22/20 at 4:00 PM to address questions about the planning process. Following the meeting, we will be generating a summary of  FAQs and posting them to the Reopening tab on our website. Below is an outline of our current timeline, and you will notice that will be other opportunities to participate if you are unable to join us tomorrow.


Reopening Plans/Timeline:

7/14-7/30 – Working groups made up of parents, staff, and administrators sharing ideas on what the three plans for back to school could look like here in Pembroke

                               Plan 1: 100% in-person instruction

                               Plan 2: Hybrid model (cohort model with a mix of in-person and remote instruction)

                               Plan 3: 100% remote instruction

7/31 – Three plans submitted to the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE)

8/4 –    Pembroke School Committee vote on which plan we will be in for the first day of school

8/6 –    Parent forum to discuss the approved plan and answer questions

8/7 –    Family survey to get definitive information on family plans to return to school under our   

             approved plan or not
