Go, Titans!

Good Afternoon,

As you may know, this weekend our girls’ varsity basketball team claimed the 2018-19 MIAA Division 2 South Sectional Championship, the first in school history.  Their quest for a state title continues this week as they head to the TD Garden in Boston on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. for a state semi-final matchup against Pentucket Regional High School.

We are pleased to offer a fan bus – free of charge –  to any student interested, as we imagine that traveling to Boston at that time of the evening may present problems for some students.  The bus is open to the first 40 that sign up in the Athletic Office and will be leaving PHS at 3:15 p.m. The bus will return immediately following the conclusion of the game.  All students signing up must ride the bus to and from the game.

While the fan bus is free, admission to the game is not.  Tickets, the price of which is set by the MIAA, are $15 for all fans and can be purchased here or at the door on the day of the game.  Please note that there will be a slight convenience fee if ordering online.

Students will not be allowed to bring backpacks into the Garden.  Fans riding the fan bus can either leave their backpacks on the bus, which will be locked, or they can leave their bags in their lockers in school.  They can retrieve them from their lockers up their return to PHS.

On a final note, we are thankful to the MIAA and the folks at TD Garden for providing this tremendous opportunity for our players and our entire student body.  What a once-in-a-lifetime experience for our players!  It is our goal to make this a night that our entire school community can remember fondly for years to come.  Whether our fans take the fan bus or not, it is important to remember that this is a school event and all relevant rules found with the PHS Student Handbook apply.  Throughout this tournament run, our fanbase has been a tremendous source of support for our girls and pride for our community, and we don’t expect Wednesday evening to be any different.

Please join me in wishing the young ladies on our team the best of luck.  We hope to see all of you at the Garden on Wednesday night.

Kind Regards,

Marc Talbot
