JINGLE BALL BASKETBALL ROUND ROBIN TOURNAMENT 2021
This is an optional basketball 4 on 4 half-court tournaments which is held to raise toys for the Pembroke community. We donate all toys to the Pembroke Community Group and ask that each student who would like to play donate a new, unwrapped toy to their PE teacher at which time we sign them up for the tournament. Toys must be donated by Friday, December 3.
The teams will be created by the PE teachers so that all teams will have a mix of players from both grade levels. The teams will be notified if they will play after school on December 7 or December 9 (2:15-3:15; Tuesday /Thursday late buses available). The final playoffs will be held on Tuesday, December 14. Participants may take the late bus home if they have a bus pass; otherwise, they will need to arrange to be picked up.
The team that wins the tournament will be awarded red jingle ball tee shirts as well as have their names engraved on the school jingle ball plaque.
This is a charitable event and the highest degree of sportsmanship is expected by all participants. Toys must be turned in by December 3.
Student spectators may watch the final game after school on December 14. We would request but are not requiring, that student spectators also consider donating a new, unused toy to this fundraiser. Closer to the event date, there’ll be a sign-up form for student spectators.
