Massachusetts Amazing Emerging Artists Exhibition Recognizes Pembroke High School Students

Pembroke High School is thrilled to announce that three students have been recognized for their work by the Massachusetts Art Education Association (MAEA.).  The mission of the Massachusetts Art Education Association is to advance high-quality visual arts education throughout the state by empowering art educators to excel in the practice, instruction, promotion, and celebration of visual art.

The MAEA is sponsoring a juried art exhibit for high school students, grades, 9-12. The exhibition will coincide with the Youth Art Month Exhibit at the Massachusetts Transportation Building and culminate with an awards ceremony on March 1, 2020.

The recognitions exhibit is a juried show and is supported by Davis Publications and Sargeant Art among others who develop art texts and art materials respectively.  Being in conjunction with the annual YAM Exhibit from students K-12 across the state, the exhibit is well attended and enjoyable for all families to see the variety of creative student output and expression at each grade level across media.  Both events are admirable for showcasing student work from across Massachusetts and supporting student voice through their creations. The exhibition will run from February 10th through March 26, 2020.

Three students from Pembroke High School have been selected to appear in this exhibit. Congratulations to Mia Scott, and Davis Yarranton for being accepted this year, in addition to Ben Stanton who was selected for the second year in a row.
