PHS Summer School

  • PHS will offer a free summer school program for 9th and 10th grade students who have not successfully completed English or math. The program runs from Tuesday, July 5th until Thursday, July 21st.   Classes will be held from 8:00 AM-10:30 AM and 10:30 AM-1:00 PM.   Two hours of instruction will be teacher directed and one ½ hour per day will be dedicated to independent work. Please note that any student who does not successfully complete a summer school program must repeat their math or English class next year.

    We believe the skills acquired in math and English are essential for success in high school and are important preparation for the Massachusetts Comprehensive Exam (MCAS).  Our goal is to ensure that your child acquires and exhibits the skills necessary for passing the class.

    Appropriate behavior and consistent attendance are required for successful completion of the program. Tardiness or absenteeism may result in removal from the program.  Only 1 excused absence and 1 Tardy will be permitted.

    Financial Aid by College Funding Services
    Financial aid experts provide an overview of financial aid, how one can qualify for financial aid and how to maximize eligibility, what one needs to do if you don’t qualify for aid and how to present assets to colleges. In addition, financial aid experts will provide a current update on the impact of COVID-10 on the college landscape and provide FAFSA and CSS Profile tips and timeline.
