Program of Studies Night

Dear Students and Families of the Classes of 2027, 2028, 2029, and 2030,

Due to today’s school cancellation, we will be postponing Program of Studies Night originally scheduled for Thursday, February 26. The event will now take place on Monday, March 2, from 6:00–8:00 p.m.

As a reminder, that evening will be divided into two parts.  First, we will all convene in the auditorium for a general, 45-minute overview of the Course Selection Process and our Program of Studies.  This presentation will include:

  • the students' timeline for course selection
  • a review of our graduation requirements and competency determination, including new requirements that affect the Classes of 2029 and 2030.
  • a preview of new courses being offered next year
  • a Pathways update
  • helpful tips for assisting students in creating a schedule that is the right fit for their individual learning needs

After the presentation, we will then host smaller, breakout meetings by department so that parents can move freely to meet with our content supervisors and ask any specific questions that they may have.  Our supervisors will be eager to speak with parents and caregivers about course descriptions, logical next steps in the sequence for your child, AP courses and the rigor associated with them, or any other question that comes to mind.  If parents do not have any additional questions, they can leave after the general presentation.

We hope you can all join us on March 2 for this important, informative evening.

Thanks,

Marc Talbot
