Pembroke Public Schools Receives National Recognition as One of the Best Communities for Music Education in 2025
District Honored for the Sixth Time for Outstanding Commitment to Music Education
Pembroke, MA – [5/20/2025] – Pembroke Public Schools has been honored for the sixth time with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from The NAMM Foundation for its outstanding support of music education and its dedication to providing comprehensive music learning opportunities for all students.
This year, 935 school districts across the nation and 22 districts in Massachusetts received this prestigious recognition. Now in its 26th year, the Best Communities for Music Education award recognizes school districts that demonstrate an exceptional commitment to music education as part of a well-rounded academic experience.

To qualify for the Best Communities designation, Pembroke Public Schools submitted detailed information about music program funding, graduation requirements, student participation, instructional time, facilities, support for music education, and community engagement. Responses were verified by school officials and reviewed by the arts education research firm WolfBrown.
