Honoring Our Veterans

Dear Pembroke Elementary School Families,

This November, our three elementary schools are coming together for a special, community-wide effort to honor the brave veterans in our lives and show our deep appreciation for their service. In celebration of Veterans Day on Tuesday, November 11th, students, families, and staff are invited to create tributes for the veterans they
know. The collective display, featuring contributions from all three schools, will be showcased throughout November at the Pembroke Community Center, the location of the Veterans Day parade and service.

Nominate Your Veteran Hero
We invite you to participate by honoring a veteran you know, whether they are a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, relative, friend, or neighbor. If you’d like to participate, please complete the attached Veterans Day Hero sheet and have your child return it to their teacher. You may include a photograph or a drawing of the

Where It Will Be Displayed: The Pembroke Community Center Gymnasium

Deadline: If you would like to participate in this display, please return the completed sheet to your child’s teacher by Wednesday, October 29th.

This is a wonderful opportunity to teach our students about service and sacrifice while uniting our schools in a common cause. We are so excited to see the walls of the Community Center filled with the faces of our heroes.
