Important Message from Principal Talbot
Recently, we have learned that families have been contacted by scammers alleging to be working in conjunction with The College Board and Pembroke High School to improve student SAT scores. The scammers offer study guides for the SAT at a personal cost, and then ask for a credit card or other personal information to complete the purchase.
Please know that Pembroke High School does not offer to sell any study materials for the SAT, nor do we share student information with any third party companies. In fact, we have learned that this scam has been affecting families in neighboring communities as well, so we can assure you that there has not been a data breach at Pembroke Public Schools.
The College Board is aware of the scam and has posted communications on their website and with the Federal Trade Commission. While representatives from The College Board do contact families from time to time, those communications are only after a request that has been initiated by a student or family member. The College Board does not make unsolicited calls to student homes, nor do they request credit card information over the phone.
Please do not hesitate to contact our Guidance Department or the College Board directly with any questions.
Marc Talbot, Principal
