Dear Parents and Guardians:
Pembroke Community Middle School is participating in a research project with the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the American Institutes for Research (AIR), an independent, non-profit research organization. The goal of this project is to better understand the decision-making process of 8th-grade students and families as they consider their high school options. The Department hopes to understand what, if any, additional information or activities might help students and families in this process.
As a part of this study, the research team is seeking parent input about the high-school decision-making process. Below is a link to a short survey we would ask you to complete by February 10, 2020. All responses will be kept confidential by the research team. Your name will not be collected nor appear in any report or article.
Thank you so much for your assistance in this important work. Please contact the school if you have any questions.
The PCMS Jingle Ball Champions for 2019 are the Red 11 team consisting of Will Johnson, Nehemiah Holtz, Ben Landolfi, and Patrick Norman. Congratulations!
They received their Jingle Ball tees and their name on the plaque. They will also invite the runner-up team to play with them against the teachers on the 20th.
That team is Heather Boyce (not shown-injured) David Johnson, Giovanni Dous, and Connor Walker. Great play by all and 75 toys donated to the community. Thank you to everyone who donated to this awesome charitable event! Both teams will compete against the teachers on the afternoon of 12/20 in front of the entire student body.
PCMS Pajama Day/Food Drive:
Thanks to the generosity of all of our students and their families as well as our staff we are happy to announce we had over 2,000 food items donated to the Firehouse Pantry!
After-school late buses will start running September 9th. Late buses will run on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays and generally leave PCMS between 3:15 and 3:30. You need to have your bus pass with you in order to board the late bus. Students will have the option to stay after these days for extra help (once pre-arranged with their teacher(s)), clubs, etc. Club sign-ups and info. will be shared next week. Students planning to take the late bus should wait in the cafeteria after their after school session or activity. Staff will be available to assist students and help them figure out which bus to ride, etc.
Any questions feel free to reach out to us.
PCMS Attendance Line
When reporting your child absent, please call the main number and then you will be prompted to PRESS 4 to report your child absent. Please use this prompt so we limit the number of calls to the front office in the mornings when it is a very busy time for us.
