PCMS Wears Pink Day Friday, October 26th, PCMS Student Leadership encourages you to wear PINK to promote Breast Cancer Awareness! Students and staff are welcome to wear pink from head-to-toe to show their support for our cause.
PCMS Parent/Teacher Conferences: Conferences will be held on October 24th from 1-6pm and on November 8th from 4:30-6: 30 pm. Please follow the link below to sign up for conferences. PCMS Music & Drama: The PCMS drama club will be presenting ANNIE JR. this year! Auditions will be held on Tuesday, November 27th from 2:10-5:00 pm in the PCMS auditorium. Audition packets are available outside of the PCMS auditorium. Students that would like a solo or speaking part will need to stay the full length of auditions. Students that just wish to be in the ensemble/chorus only can sign up ahead of time and do not need to attend auditions. There will be a mandatory meeting and script read on Thursday, November 29th from 2:10-5:00 pm for all students in the cast of ANNIE JR. Parents are welcome to attend the meeting from 2:10-3:10. PCMS After School Clubs:
Students signed up for After School clubs this week. Clubs will start next week. If a child decides they still want to join or try out a club they can just attend the club and let the advisor know and he/she will be added to the club they are interested in. Here is a list of clubs.
Providence Bruins Performance:
All chorus, band, and orchestra students are invited to sing at the Providence Bruins game on Friday, January 11th!! Chorus students will perform on the ice and the band and orchestra students will perform in the stands between each period. Students that are interested in performing should fill out the field trip form and return it to either Mrs. LeBlanc or Mr. Hovey by Monday, October 1st. PCMS Goes ‘Wicked Gold’ Fundraiser:
Thank you to everyone who participated in our most recent spirit day, GO GOLD for Childhood Cancer! As a school, we showed amazing spirit and during our fundraiser week, we were able to raise $436.12 towards helping give cancer "the boot". Thanks again to everyone who participated and for all of your generous donations to this great cause!
Late Night Help and Late Buses: Starting on Monday, September 10th, all students will be able to stay after school on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays with teachers and receive extra help and make-up missing work. Late Night Help runs from 2:10 pm to 3:10 pm. Students can then get picked up out front or take the Late Bus. Any student who plans on taking the Late Bus will report to the cafeteria after their session. Students will need their bus pass to ride the Late Bus. Late Buses usually arrive at PCMS to pick up students around 3:30 pm. Information regarding after-school clubs will be coming soon! Homework Club will be offered every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday and is supervised by our guidance staff. This is available for any/all students.
PCMS Attendance Line: When reporting your child absent, please call the main number and then you will be prompted to PRESS 4 to report your child absent. Please use this prompt so we limit the number of calls to the front office in the mornings when it is a very busy time for us.
PCMS Bus Reminder: Students are only allowed to ride their assigned bus to and from school. If there is an emergency contact us but as a practice, we do not allow passes for ‘social’ reasons.
PCMS morning breakfast and drinks: Students are allowed to purchase a ‘grab and go’ breakfast every morning. Breakfast is available starting at 7:15 am. Students are allowed to eat their breakfast in their first-period class but only between 7:15-7: 30 am. Beverages (coffee, tea, etc.) excluding water, must also be consumed during this time frame and should be discarded by 7:30. No beverages are allowed to be consumed in the hallways. Only beverages with a twist top that is secured are allowed in student lockers.
