PCMS Home-School Compact

Middle schools are successful when students, parents/caregivers and educators work cooperatively to ensure student growth and development. Therefore, we ask that all parties commit to their part of this Home-School Compact.

I realize that my child's school years are very important, and I understand that my participation in my child's education will help him/her to be successful. Therefore, to the best of my ability...

I promise to:

  • Have high expectations for my child
  • Encourage positive attitudes about school and education
  • Encourage my child to do his or her best
  • Ensure that my child attends school regularly and on time
  • Encourage my child to read at home and monitor TV viewing
  • Talk with my child every day about his or her homework and school activities
  • Communicate with my child's teachers about his or her progress
  • Attend open house, parent-teacher conferences, and other school-sponsored programs whenever I can
  • Help my child to resolve conflicts in positive, non-violent ways
  • Become familiar and discuss with my child the contents of the Student Handbook
