Pembroke High School Thespian Troupe #7127 presents musical production of Chicago
Pembroke High School presents Chicago on November 9 & 10, 2017 at 7:00 PM and November 11, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Randall Auditorium of PHS located at 80 Learning Lane, Pembroke, MA 02359. Chicago is presented by special arrangement with SAMUEL FRENCH, INC.
Chicago is an American musical with music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and book by Ebb and Bob Fosse. Set in Prohibition-era Chicago, the musical is based on a 1926 play of the same name by reporter Maurine Dallas Watkins about actual criminals and crimes she reported on. The story is a satire on corruption in the administration of criminal justice and the concept of the "celebrity criminal". Leading roles in the Pembroke High School production will feature Emma Murphy as Velma Kelly, Brianna Price as Roxie Hart, Zachary Reggio as Billy Flynn, Emma Keane as Mama Morton, William Ferreira as Amos Hart, and Laura McCue as Mary Sunshine. Rounding out the cast is a dance troupe and ensemble of 34 and crew of 20. Andrea Canevazzi directs the production with musical direction by Gwynne Chapman and Austin Glass.
Tickets prices for the show are as follows: $20 priority seating (30 minutes prior to curtain); General Admission Seating - Adults - $15.00 and students and senior citizens - $10.00. Tickets will be on sale at PHS during all lunches in the main lobby (11:00 AM – 12:15 PM), November 6-9. Tickets can be placed on reserve for WILL CALL pick-up the evening of each performance by calling 781-291-9281 X2128.
