Concern raised on Thursday 8/31/23

Remediation:

-Thursday 8/31/23 consultation with Health Agent - Lisa Cullity regarding concern

-Friday 9/1/23 contracted commercial cleaning company to have the classrooms on the 4/5/6 wing cleaned and sanitized over Labor Day weekend

-Friday 9/1/23 - any items with visual growth immediately removed from the classrooms

Remediation:

Wednesday 9/13/23 - visual inspection with Health Agent Lisa Cullity, professional opinion no mold growth given the location on cement wall

Recommendation to thoroughly clean area and monitor (if it were mold, it would regrow)

Area cleaned and monitored by staff - no repeat growth

Air Quality outside Art Room where photo was taken was tested on 9/19/23 - no elevate levels

Concern raised on Wednesday 2/14/24  

Remediation:

Tuesday 2/20/24 ceiling tile replaced by Maintenance staff, there has been significant rain since, no evidence or recurring leak

Remediation:

Room has previously shown signs of a musty order - November 2016.  Room was not identified for testing in our round on 9/19/23  or in PTA 

testing 10/10/23

Elimination of materials including rug to determine cause

Continued monitoring of the space by administration to see if environmental factors (rainy weather) contribute to recurrence of the odor

Continued concern raised Wednesday 2/14/24 regarding root cause

Remediation:

Contracted with environmental engineer on site on 2/26/24 and 3/12/24 to investigate cause.  Looking behind drywall and under floor tiles for signs of moisture.

Additional portable HEPA filters purchased to rotate on this side of the building

Remediation:

District is transitioning to vinyl ceiling tiles to eliminate this concern in the future, replacement work began over February break

Plumbing fixture replaced Wednesday 2/21/24, no evidence of continued leak

Remediation:

Bucket of wipes was purchased in 2020 during COVID.  Sealed plastic bach with moisten wipes in a humid setting.

Manufacturing instructions state: storage is to be in a well ventilated space.  Keep cool.  They recommend discarding 12 months after production date
