Our Vision

The arts are a basic and universal form of human communication, a symbolic language through which we can express and understand thoughts, feelings, and emotions which cannot be expressed in any other way.  The arts provide access not only to our cultural heritage, but also to the cultural environment of the present, and a means of understanding other cultures around the world.    It is the vision of the Pembroke Fine and Performing Arts Department to increase the capacities of both youth and adults to appreciate beauty in literature, art, music, and nature.  We strive to provide rich artistic experiences that nurtures creativity, promotes cultural awareness, and cultivates critical thinking.
