About Our Program
The Pembroke Integrated Preschool is an inclusive preschool serving students of the Pembroke community. Our inclusive program is designed for students with and without disabilities to learn and grow together.
Children ages 3-5 are eligible for the program.
Our curriculum content is based on the Massachusetts Standards for Early Childhood Program standards for Three and Four-Year-Olds and The Guidelines for Preschool Experiences. We utilize social and emotional approaches to learning and play. Our curriculum promotes independence, develops school readiness, and teaches tolerance through play. Classrooms are language-based and provide opportunities for students to learn using a variety of instructional practices.

Peer Models
Pembroke Integrated Preschool is committed to providing an inclusive learning environment for students. Inclusive education seeks to provide meaningful education to the range of students in our community by drawing strength from their diversity.
A peer model is a child who displays typical development and behavior in a school setting. Peer models learn alongside students with special needs engaging in social, play, academic, and other developmentally appropriate preschool activities.
Peer models follow the application and selection process. Peers are screened and selected in order to create balanced, heterogeneous classrooms based on age, gender, and abilities.
