Dear Parents and Guardians,
In May and June, we begin the process of assigning children to classrooms for next year. Classroom placement is a lengthy process considering many factors and involving input from the professionals in our school who know your children. We spend several weeks working on classroom placements to make certain all classrooms are balanced in regard to a variety of factors, such as gender and academic, social, emotional, and health needs. The classroom teacher recommends at least one peer from the current classroom to be placed with your child. It is not always possible to make the placement with a friend due to the balancing of many factors, but we make every attempt to try to honor this.
We do not take parent requests for specific teachers, but I will be happy to hear your input regarding the special learning needs of your child. If you wish, you may write your thoughts in a letter addressed to me and either mail, email or bring the letter to our school office. It is essential that I have all parent letters by April 26. Letters that arrive after April 26 are too late to be considered in this process. Classroom placement decisions will be mailed to you in the summer.

Each spring all students in grades 3-6 are tested through the Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS). MCAS is one snapshot of your child’s skills and knowledge. Below are the scheduled dates for MCAS testing at each grade level.
Grade 3 Reading - April 24 & 25 Math - May 7 & 8
Grade 4 Reading - April 22 & 23 Math - May 9 & 10
Grade 5 Reading - April 8 & 9 Math - May 14 & 15 Science - May 20 & 21
Grade 6 Reading - April 2 & 4 Math - April 30 & May 2

April 27th from 10am-1pm - The Bryantville Elementary 6th Grade Carwash Fundraiser will take place at the Pembroke Recreation Department. Keep your eyes open for tickets and more information coming in the next few weeks.

We are collecting photos and well wishes (at $5 per wish) for all 6th-grade students. Items are due by April 19th.

Please send Well Wishes for your child using the attached form. Well, wishes can come from parents, siblings, friends, grandparents, aunts/uncles or cousins. Cost is $5 per wish.
All profits will go to the 6th Grade Year End activities and yearbook.
Here are some important updates from the Bryantville PTO:
Tickets are now on sale for the Back to the 80's Dance Party. Anyone who purchases tickets prior to March 19th will be entered to win free admission to next year's event. That is a $25 savings.
