An Update from Dr. Glaude- May 18, 2020

  • Dear Bryantville Families,

I once again thank you for your collaboration in our remote learning.  I know as the days become warmer and the seemingly endless days of remote learning continue it may become more difficult for your child to focus on the work.  Teachers are working to make the learning fresh, focus on reinforcing the critical learning priorities, and engage children in face time through their meetings and office hours.  We greatly appreciate the role you play in prompting your child to participate in schoolwork, the classroom meetings, and engage in art, music, and PE activities.

To the families of Grade 4 students: Our band teacher Dan Hawes will be visiting Grade 4 Morning Meetings to introduce Grade 4 students to the instrument choices in band for Grade 5.  You and your child will have the opportunity to select instrument choices if he or she wants to participate in band or strings next year.

To the families of Grade 5 students, as part of our health and wellness curriculum, each year the nurse provides the program titled “Always Changing & Growing Up Puberty Education” to Grade 5 students.  With the shift to remote learning due to the school closure, Proctor & Gamble is offering resources to teach the important topics of puberty and development. You may access links to the videos, parent guide, and conversation guides at https://www.pgschoolprograms.com/Educators.  Please do not hesitate to reach out to Nurse Haley for any support or questions.  Her email is Catherine.Haley@pembrokek12.org.

Please do not hesitate to contact me at any time if I may help.

    Missing your children,

    Dr. Catherine Glaude, Principal
