    BINDER INSTRUCTIONS

This year students will have a GET ORGANIZED (GO) Binder.  Keeping the GO Binder neat, organized, and up-to-date will be a learning process.

Please label and organize the dividers in your GO Binder before the first day of school:

    • We will provide you with an insert for inside the front plastic cover.
    • Please do NOT fill the binder with paper.
    • Your binder will have 6 sections – please label in order from when you open the binder:

    - Math Resources

    - ELA

    - Poetry

    - Writing Final Copies

    - Science

    - Social Studies

Thank you for setting up your GO Binder before the start of school!  This will ensure an organized and smooth transition to fourth grade.

      • Social Studies (S.S.)

    Optional but Helpful Supplies:

    • 1 pair of headphones labeled with the student’s name
    • Eraser or eraser tops
    • 1 set of dry-erase markers
    • Highlighter
    • An eraser to use on dry erase boards (an old sock or rag works perfectly)
    • Glue sticks
    • 1 non-metal reusable water bottle with a name written clearly on it. On average we see 10-15 disposable water bottles left behind in the classrooms each day!  Having a reusable water bottle will help us maintain a clean classroom, and it will help the environment too. We discourage students from bringing metal water bottles as they frequently fall off desks and make a terrible and distracting noise.

Optional Items to Contribute to the Class:

    • Clorox wipes
    • Paper towels
    • Boxes of tissues
    • Liquid hand soap
