📚 Kids can read and earn beads to decorate their very own necklace! When you read, you can choose anything. Your book can be about animals, rock climbing, robots, or pancakes. You can read by yourself, out loud to another person, or listen to someone else read to you. You can also listen to an audio book or read a magazine, graphic novel, or how-to book. The possibilities are endless! The most important thing is that you read something you enjoy.

FAQHow do the beads work?Kids read and record their minutes (or have a grown-up help them track time), then they visit the library to turn those minutes into beads of varying colors, shapes, and designs to decorate and personalize their very own necklace. Don't have your necklace and brag tag yet? Be sure to visit the library to pick yours out!What do I need to read for school?All Pembroke Public School students may visit the school Summer Learning Page for elementary, middle, and high school required reading and suggested resources, activities, and links to engage children and teens in math and reading throughout the summer.How do I log my books?Click the green "Log Reading and Activities" button in the top left-hand corner of this site.
